Cataract Falls is one of the greatest outdoor stops in Indiana. One of so many we have to go to but I must admit I have lived in Indiana a long time and this is my first time here. One of the things you notice is the Cataract Bridge constructed in the 1870’s and believe it or not was still open for traffic in the late 1900’s.
It is beautiful to walk on that bridge because of the history here but also the scenery. Of course the two waterfalls. These are the high falls and the low falls and folks you have to come here to see them for yourself because they are both just beautiful. We have seen hikers, kayakers and lots of fisherman.
What a great place to be at this time of the year especially as we get closer to the colors starting to turn. It’s just another step we are making on our tour of Indiana on Only in Indiana.
